Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The service is amazing and the overall design of the place is great. It makes you feel right at home. I would highly recommend the contractor and skirt steak paninis as they have been amazing everytime I’ve had them. Overall this place is great and would highly recommend dinning in.

I love this bakery, and my husband and I especially can’t resist their almond croissants. The croissant is big, so even though they’re about $5 each, it still feels affordable because the portions are so satisfying. We usually buy them because they’re delicious, and honestly, they’re worth it for us. We used to share one croissant because it was large enough for both of us. But after continuously buying them, I’ve noticed the sizes have been getting smaller and smaller, and it doesn’t feel as filling as it used to. The portion has definitely changed and it’s harder to feel like the value matches what it was. I hope the bakery can bring back the large portions, because these used to be our favorite treat, and we’d love to keep buying them without feeling like the portion keeps changing.

It's so sad that I have to give Panepinto a 1 star review, but I want them to get back to the quality they used to have. We used to be so proud to have it in our neighborhood, and recommended it to everyone. As a croissant lover, theirs were as good as any in NYC. But when my wife brought this home today, I yelled at her for buying such a pale croissant just based on such unappealing looks. We both took a bite and, sorry to say, we both had to spit it out. Just hard dough, zero flakes. Is there no one there to check the taste/outcome of these things? As an Italian bakery, the croissant is really the staple of it, and if the baker can't produce a decent croissant, what CAN they do? Also, rather than taking your time to answer all these negative reviews, to show that you care, just fix the recipe instead, it's not rocket science.

Figured I try out this bakery so got a too good to go order. Saw all the horrible ratings on TGTG and bad reviews on here but I said, how bad can it be? Well, it worse than bad. Went in tonight and they gave a croissant and 2 stale, old, hard bread rolls. Tiny palm size stale rolls. At least croissant was ok. Never again. You thought you could do this to me and get away with it? You have been warned. If you still go in here, it’s on you. Shame shame shame on you.

Wanted to love this place. My coffee was good. My daughter had cannolis and they were not good. I also bought her a chocolate and Oreo cake for her birthday and it’s either stale or made extremely dry but it’s completely inedible and total waste of money. $80 for everything and the whole cake went into the trash!!!
